Gucci Mane was born as Radric Delantic Davis in Bessemer, Alabama on 12th February 1980. His father Ralph Everett Dudley was a former US serviceman who also worked as power plant worker and mother Vicky Jean Davis, a social worker and teacher. Davis family convey the message of strong military background from Gucci’s both paternal and maternal grandfather respectively James Dudley, Sr. and Walter Lee Davis. They both served during World War II.
Gucci Mane pursued his education from Ronald E. McNair High School with impressive grades. Later he took admission at Georgia Perimeter College in computer programing course. He was quite familiar among his peer groups. By that time, he got involved with the drug dealing profession, but Gucci Mane never took drugs except for smoking cannabis.
Gucci Mane was very much fond of poetry from his childhood and as a consequence of his inspiration he started rapping at the age of 14.

Due to his Drug Dealing Career, he got arrested while studying in the college in 2001. After that situation, Gucci got serious about his music and released his first album namely “La Flare” on Str8 Drop Records. Having the successful first album, Gucci decided to start a music label.
Gucci released his first independent debut album “Trap House” in 2005 which also marked its position into the Top 20 of the Hip-Hop album charts. In 2006, “Freaky Gurl” the hit single under the album “Hard to Kill” got peaked at number 12 on the Hot Rap Tracks.

During the year 2007-2010, Gucci Mane released different remix songs like “Boom Boom Pow," ‘Obsessed' and "5 Star Chick". "The State vs. Radric Davis” was his second studio album recorded on 8th December 2009 and released by Warner Bros. after a year break, he released few more studio album named "the return of Mr. Zone 6", "Everybody looking," Mr. Davis, and many more. He also has some collaborative album like Ferrari Boyz, BAYTL, and DropTopWop.
